Voici la liste des symboles phonétiques utilisés dans le dictionnaire pour retranscrire la prononciation de l'irlandais. Ci-dessous j'ai rangé les symboles par ordre "alphabétique" pour ceux qui ressemblent à une lettre de l'alphabet latin. En fin de liste, j'ai regroupé les symboles ne ressemblant pas vraiment à une lettre de l'alphabet latin. Cliquez sur les symboles pour en entendre un enregistrement. Pour les consonnes, je les ai prononcées suivant le schéma "aCa", où "C" est la consonne en question. Pour certaines consonnes, j'ai utilisé le schéma "aCi" pour que le son de la consonne s'entende mieux. Pour les voyelles, je les ai prononcées longues de façon à ce que le son soit plus clair, mais elles peuvent êtres brèves dans les mots irlandais. Dans l'alphabet phonétique international, une voyelle mi-longue est suivie du symbole   (petit triangle à mi-hauteur). Une voyelle longue est suivie du symbole (deux petits triangles).

Here is the list of the phonetic symbols that I have used in the dictionary, to transcribe the pronunciation of the Irish words. Below I have sorted these phonetic symbols by "alphabetical order" for those who look like letters of the Latin alphabet. At the end of the list I have put together the symbols who don't look like a Latin letter. Click on the symbols to hear the sounds. Concerning the consonants, I pronounced them following the pattern "aCa", where "C" is the consonant. For some consonants, I used the pattern "aCi" so that the sound of the consonant is clearer. Concerning the vowels, I pronounced them long, so that the sound is clearer, but they may be short in the Irish words. In the IPA (International Phonetic Alphabet), a half-long vowel is followed by the symbol    (small triangle above the writing line). A long vowel is followed by the symbol    (two small triangles)
